Vietnamese volleyball players won a silver medal at the women’s event after losing to Thailand on June 15 at the ongoing 28th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Singapore.

The team was defeated 25-18, 25-18, and 25-15 in the final that took place in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the men’s team beat Myanmar in the semi-final to advance to the final on June 16, where Vietnam will also compete with Thailand for the gold medal.

In sepak takraw, Vietnamese players won one bronze medal in the morning after losing to Thailand once again with 8-21 and 18-21 in the semi-final of the women's doubles.

Another bronze medal was clinched in the women’s triples pentaque event.

At 8:30 pm on June 15, Vietnam remained in third place at the Games with 73 gold, 52 silver, and 60 bronze medals, following Thailand and Singapore.-VNA
