Martial artist Pham Thi Thanh Huyen snatched a gold in the U-62kg combat event on December 18, bringing the Vietnamese taekwondo team three golds at the ongoing 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar.
Earlier, Nguyen Minh Tu and Nguyen Dinh Toan took the second gold in the mixed doubles. Thai and Indonesia duos came second and third with silver and bronze medals.
Kempo artist Pham Thi Mao and Phan Thi Kieu Duyen also brought home victory with a gold in the women’s doubles.
Athlete Pham Tien San seized a silver in the men’s 3,000m hurdle. Filipino Christopher Jr Ulboc was the first to hit the finish line.
