Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on March 22 presented the second-class Labour Order to the NA Standing Committee's Board for Deputy Affairs for its contribution to the national construction and protection at a ceremony marking the body’s 20th founding anniversary (March 17, 2003-2023).

At the Hanoi ceremony, NA Standing Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man lauded the contributions and growth of the board over the past time and underscored the NA’s new vision and requirement for it to come up with in-depth and strategic advice.

The board needs to make recommendations on reforming the organisational structure and improving the operational efficiency of the NA's Council for Ethnic Affairs and commissions under the NA Standing Committee, noted the official.

It is also necessary to pay attention to the planning of deputies and preparation for the elections of deputies to the 16th NA and people's councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, he said.

Man affirmed his belief that the board will continue to make comprehensive progress and maintain its key role in the NA’s apparatus./.
