The best photos selected by the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2013 are on display at an exhibition that opened on October 30 in Pleiku city, the Highlands province of Gia Lai and will last until November 6.
The 122 photos and photo sets were chosen from more than 6,000 entries in the national contest, the second of its kind held so far.
The photos highlight many vivid corners of ethnic peoples’ daily and working life and the spiritual space of unique festivals as well as the spectacular scenes of nature.
Gia Lai is one of 16 cities and provinces to hold the exhibition that aims to call on the community to discover and preserve Vietnam ’s natural and cultural heritage.
The contest is organised by the Vietnam Heritage magazine (under the Cultural Heritage Association of Vietnam) and the Cultural Heritage Association of Ho Chi Minh City.
The awards ceremony will be held on November 21 in HCM City.-VNA
