The Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) has held a seminar on how to access credit and business opportunities in Berlin .

The seminar, attended by Vietnam ’s Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, is just one of several moves the bank has made on the occasion of the inaugural of its second branch in Germany .

When addressing the function, Vietnam ’s Ambassador to Germany Do Hoa Binh, stated that Vietnam and Germany have a growing friendship and that businesses from both countries have a great deal of potential to expand.

Vietinbank’s second branch in Germany will make it easier for Vietnamese businesses in the country to develop, said the ambassador, adding that it will also help them to gain access to the European credit market.

Representatives from the Vietnamese Business Association in Germany said that they need to have access to credit and be updated with the necessary information before investing and exporting goods to Germany and the European market.

Vice President Doan answered a number of queries from businesses and has asked the relevant state agencies to help the business community with their problems.

The participants talked about their experiences while operating in the German market to encourage more domestic enterprises to invest in Germany and Vietnamese enterprises in Germany to invest in their home country.-VNA
