The seminar is an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses to boost multi-faceted cooperation, said Tekreth Kamrang, Vice Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce.

Also at the seminar, the General Secretary of the Cambodian Development Council (CDC) Chea Vuthy talked about the country’s new liberal policies on attracting foreign investment and equal treatment for both domestic and foreign investors.

To facilitate the operations of foreign businesses, Cambodia is speeding up the introduction of a one-stop policy when granting investment licences as well as policies on taxes, visas and labour permit exemptions, he added.

In the first eight months of this year, the CDC licensed 12 Vietnamese-invested projects worth 450 million USD in total./.
