Vietnam and Mongolia have agreed to broaden relations between their top auditing agencies and their participation in the regional and international organisations of Supreme Audit Institutions-ASOSAI and INTOSAI.

The consensus was reached during a working session between a Vietnamese State audit delegation led by State Auditor General Vuong Dinh Hue and his Mongolian counterpart, Ch. Radnaa, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on September 9.

The two sides will also exchange experiences in numerous fields and assist each other in the application of information technology to auditing operations and personal training. They also discussed the possibility of conducting joint auditing of bilateral joint ventures and cooperation programmes.

The Mongolian side expressed support for Vietnam’s bids to host the 12 th Congress of the Asian Organisation of the Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in 2012 and become a member of the ASOSAI executive board for the 2009-12 term.

The same day, the Vietnamese delegation was received by the Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia, D. Demberel.

The Mongolian top legislator appreciated the cooperation between the two State audit agencies since the signing of an agreement in 2006.

Demberel also highly valued their effective operations in auditing and supervising public spending and State budgets and properties, which he said have contributed to building a transparent public financial system in each and every country as well as the development of the two countries’ State audit agencies within the ASOSAI and the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

During their stay in Mongolia from September 8-12, the Vietnamese senior auditors plan to pay working visits to other parts of the countries besides the capital city of Ulaanbaatar./.
