Senior officials pay respect to Hung Kings

Vietnamese senior officials offered incense to the Hung Kings in the northern province of Phu Tho on Mar. 31.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam and leaders of numerous ministries, branches offered incense to the Hung Kings, the nation's legendary founders, at the Hung Kings Temple complex in the northern province of Phu Tho on March 31.

The ceremony offering incense is to express gratitude to the nation's founders, and the assembled also prayed for peace and prosperity for the country and its people.

When speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Hoang Dan Mac, stated that the entire population is in solidarity about building a prosperous nation.

After the ceremony, the NA, VFF and local leaders also offered flowers at the relief wall dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh and soldiers from the Tien Phong Vanguard Division stationed at the complex.
The annual festival to commemorate the Hung Kings, which falls on the 10th day of the third lunar month, was first recognised as a national event in 2007.

Also on March 30, another ceremony to offer incense to the Hung Kings was held in the National Culture and History Park in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 9, in the presence of Politburo member and Secretary of HCM City Party’s Committee Le Thanh Hai and Chairman of the HCM People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan.-VNA
