Hanoi (VNA) – Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Hau A Lenh met with a delegation of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Hanoi on April 23.

Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Lenh affirmed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China, the VFF and the CPPCC have had good relations and cooperation in many issues, helping to materialise the ideologies and guidelines built by late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong and other leaders of the two countries.

He highly valued the relations between the Shanghai municipal CPPCC Committee and some Vietnamese localities, especially the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Ho Chi Minh City VFF Committee, expressing his hope that the two sides will implement the reached agreements in a fruitful manner.

The official also asked the Shanghai CPPCC Committee to enhance cooperation with other Vietnamese localities, thereby helping to increase experience sharing and mutual understanding and intensify the two countries’ connections.

Zhou Hanmin, member of the CPPCC National Committee’s standing committee, said his delegation’s working visit aims to bolster ties between the Shanghai CPPCC Committee and the HCM City VFF Committee and expand cooperation with VFF committees of other provinces and cities in Vietnam, helping to promote the two countries’ comprehensive cooperation in all aspects.

He voiced his hope that the sound collaboration between Shanghai, as well as China, and Vietnamese localities will be strengthened. He promised to exert every effort to help foster people-to-people exchange and cooperation in issues of shared concern between the two countries.-VNA
