Shedding light on Hai Phong’s Cat Ba Island

Once completed in February 2010, the 200 billion VND project, funded by preferential loans from the World Bank, is expected to supply power to 6,800 clients on Cat Ba island, a favourite tourism site which is part of the port city of Hai Phong , and enhance the island’s socio-economic development.
Currently, Cat Hai district’s power supply depends much on the 35KV power line from Yen Hung district of neighbouring Quang Ninh province./.
