The Siemens Vietnam Co., Ltd hosted a Siemens Vietnam Day in Ho Chi Minh City on June 25 as part of main activities to mark the German Year in the country.

Themed “HCM City in the 21 st century- Green City with Sustainable Development”, Siemens displayed a wide range of products, solutions and services designed to assist big cities like HCM City in addressing challenges in sustainable urban development, including transport, housing management, lighting, energy, health, clean water and environment.

Siemens said it sees HCM City , which is one of the most populous and fastest growing cities in Vietnam , as its destination.

According to Erdal Elver, Siemens Vietnam CEO and General Director, with its diverse products, Siemens can help HCM City deal with challenges it is facing during the urbanisation process.

Siemens has been involved in a number of power projects in Vietnam , namely the Phu My 3 Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant and the Ca Mau 1 and 2. Its technologies and products have been used in large works such as the My Dinh National Stadium, the HCM City Television and the PetroVietnam Building./.
