Singapore (VNA) – Singapore and China have reached eight MoUs on promoting cooperation in areas including financial services, trade in food products, transport and logistics.

The Singapore Trade and Industry Ministry said on May 12 that the deals were signed at a teleconference of the Joint Implementation Committee for the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative (CCI). However, the ministry did not elaborate on the details of the agreements.

The ministry said discussions at the conference focused on ways to enhance cooperation in the three priority fields in the framework of CCI, which are financial services, aviation and logistics-transport, as well as how to promote the CCI-New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (CCI-ILSTC).

In the CCI framework, a total of 34 projects have been proposed, covering such fields as commerce logistics, smart manufacturing, smart tourism and internet of things (IoT)./.
