Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), a UK-based global real estate services firm, has released its latest ‘Doing Business’ report, in which it ranks Singapore as the best place to do business in Asia.

The firm’s report, which is based on over 200 pieces of global research, took into consideration the performance of cities all over the world. Scores were given based on the cities’ economic growth, quality of life, prestige and influence, among other categories.

Singapore was also named the third best place to do business in the global list, finishing behind New York and London. It also overtook Tokyo as the leading city for education, mobility, science, broadband and technology.

Singapore scored highly for administration, financial services and infrastructure, but received low points for business costs, energy usage and daily costs.

Of the 15 top cities in the JLL report, five come from Asia, seven are from Europe and three are from North America.-VNA
