New Delhi (VNA) – The number of Indian visitors to Singapore from January to May reached 613,000, a year-on-year increase of 17 percent, according to the website The Economic Times of India.

According Adrian Kong, area director, India & Sri Lanka of Singapore Tourism Board (STB), India has become the third largest source market for Singapore in terms of visitor arrivals.

In 2017, Singapore received 1.27 million Indians, up 16 percent against the previous year.
 
Since the beginning of this year, STB has implemented eight promotion activities in India, with 40 stakeholders to connect and grow its partnership with in-market travel agents.

This year, the agency has also promoted Singaporean tourism via jointly making films with Bollywood and participating in tourism forums and events.-VNA
