Six more cases of A/H1N1 flu have been confirmed in Vietnam , bringing the total number of patients nationwide to 35 as of June 19, according to the Health Ministry.

Of the total, Ho Chi Minh City has 28 patients, while Tien Giang has three, Vung Tau, two and Hanoi, one.

So far, 20 patients, including 19 in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Hanoi, have already recovered and been discharged from hospital. The remainder of patients have been isolated and are currently under treatment at hospitals, all in stable condition.

The newly-detected H1N1 carriers are a 45-year-old Vietnamese woman living in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, who had been in contact with a nun who had recently-arrived from the US, three men, also arriving from the US on various planes landing at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and two sisters who returned to Vietnam from Australia, landing at the same airport.

According to a report by the World Health Orgnaisation (WHO), as of June 19, 88 countries and territories around the world have reported 39,620 cases of A/H1N1 flu, 1676 of which have been fatal./.
