Quang Nam (VNA) – The Slovak delegation won the first prize at the 7th Vietnam International Choir Competition that wrapped up in the central province of Quang Nam on April 5 after three days of competition.

Co-hosted by the Hoi An municipal People’s Committee and Germany’s Interkultur organisation, it brought together nearly 600 conductors, artists, and musicians from 18 ensembles representing India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Slovakia who competed in 13 categories.

Apart from performances at the official competition, they also staged choir performances on streets to entertain local residents and tourists.

The competition has been held every two years in Hoi An city since 2011./.
