President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska spoke highly of Vietnam’s development achievements while meting with Vietnamese Ambassador to the country Ho Dac Minh Nguyet on November 6.

Highlighting the increasingly developing relationship between the two nations, the President suggested the newly-accredited ambassador closely cooperate with Slovakia’s agencies, organisations, businesses and schools in deepening bilateral ties, especially in trade, investment, energy, and tourism.

Ambassador Nguyet, who earlier presented her credentials to the President, affirmed that Vietnam always remembers the valuable support and assistance, both materially and spiritually, for Vietnam during its past struggle for national independence as well as in the current national development.

She thanked the Slovakian Government for creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese people living in the country.

Informing the host of Vietnam’s socio-economic development and international integration as well as the positive progress of the Vietnam-Slovakia ties, the diplomat promised to do her utmost to fostering the bilateral relations during her tenure.-VNA
