A 7mm layer of snow covers the summit of Mount Fansipan 
On January 17, visitors to Mount Fansipan were amazed by snow blanket covering the summit 
Snow started falling on early morning of January 17 until 9 a.m the same day 
The summit of Mount Fansipan recorded the temperature of 2.5 degrees Celcius at 8 a.m on January 17 
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, the northern region has experienced a cold spell with the temperature ranging between 10 and 13 degrees centigrade. Many mountainous areas can see the temperature of below 5 degrees centigrade. 
With the low temperature forecast, snow may continue falling on Fansipan mount in early morning
