Software giant sets profit target of 126 million USD

nearly 27 trillion VND (1.29 billion USD) this year, up 6 percent on

Meanwhile, its pre-tax profit target is set at 2.65 trillion VND (126 million USD), a 10-percent increase.
Its telecommunications business is expected to bring the largest share of the profit - 818 billion VND (39 million USD) - or 31 percent of the company's total profit.
Software production remains a core business with growth of 23 percent over last year, bringing 609 billion VND (29 million USD) in. Nearly 80 percent will come from software exports, estimated to amount to 480 billion VND (22.9 million USD).
FPT expects to expand its retail business with plans to open 50-60 new stores this year.
However, this expansion investment is projected to generate losses of around 38 billion VND (1.8 million USD) for the company.
It also plans to pay 2013 cash dividends of 20 percent.-VNA
