An exhibition to showcase Vietnam ’s software, information technology (IT) and international human resources will take place from August 26-28 in Hanoi.

The exhibition, co-organised by the Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP) and the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA), is part of the fourth World Information Technology Forum (WITFOR 2009), under the theme “Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development”.

WITFOR 2009 is scheduled to draw the participation of 1,500 IT representatives from more than 70 countries and territories all over the world.

The forum is a good opportunity to spotlight not only the Vietnamese people and the country’s natural beauty, but also its software industry and its strong potential in IT and international human resources development.

The exhibition will include booths of new IT products and new software solutions from Vietnamese IT enterprises, especially environmentally friendly IT products.

It will also show-off software products and businesses who won the Sao Khue 2009 – an award for individuals and organisations working in the IT sector—along with an international IT job fair.

The event will also host meetings between international partners and three major seminars.

Vietnam IT industry’s growth rate reached 20 percent last year and the speed of the country’s internet development was ranked 18th in the world and 6 th in Asia ./.
