The central province of Binh Phuoc held a solemn memorial service on July 24 to re-bury the remains of 172 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and specialists who laid down their lives in Cambodia during the wartime.

The remains, of which six sets were identified, were found in Kratie and Kongpongthom provinces of Cambodia .

Officials of the High Command of Military Zone 7, the Binh Phuoc province, mayors and vice mayors of Kratie and Kongpongthom provinces attended the event.

Also on July 24, Binh Phuoc province’s Loc Ninh district held a solemn ceremony to re-bury the remains of 29 Vietnamese soldiers found in the locality.

The same day, a reburial service also took place in southern Dong Thap province for the remains of 149 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died on battlefields in Cambodia during the wartime.

The K91 searching team of the Dong Thap province’s Military Headquarter has for over the past year found 149 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers./.
