Son La (VNA) – Publicsecurity forces of Vietnam’s northern province of Son La and northern Laoprovinces affirmed the priority they give to bilateral traditional friendship,special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation, during a working session inSon La on May 3.

The event was held during a visitto Son La by a delegation of the Lao Ministry of Public Security’srepresentative office in Vietnam and the public forces of Lao northernprovinces, part of celebrations for the 55th anniversary of thebilateral diplomatic ties (September 5) and the 40th anniversary ofthe signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18).

Reviewing joint work over the pastyears, they said both sides have partnered effectively in border management andthe fight against sabotage plans by hostile forces and all kinds of crime,especially cross-border drug crimes.

At the session, they vowed to contributeto lifting the Vietnam-Laos bilateral ties to a greater height.-VNA

Vietnam, Laos boost youth cooperation, education

The Lao Vice President asked the Central Committees of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) and the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union (LPRYU) to continue enhancing coordination to effectively implement their 2022–2027 cooperation agreement, especially in youth exchanges and education of younger generations about the countries’ traditional ties.
