Son La steps up cooperation with northern Laos
The northern mountainous province of Son La has signed several
deals with eight Laotian provinces, says the Deputy Chairman of the
provincial People’s Committee, Cam Van Chinh.

The provinces include Houaphanh, Luang Prabang, Bokeo, Oudomsay, Phongsaly, Luong Namtha, Sayabouly and Xieng Khouang.
Son La province sent senior officials to visit these provinces to examine how previously signed agreements have been carried out, as well as sign business contracts and draw up long-term joint initiatives.
Son La has a 250km border with Houaphanh and Luang Prabang provinces in Laos . The province has also completed planting its border markers, along with Luang Prabang and will plant more with Houaphanh in another co-project.
All the parties concerned regularly meet with each other to boost friendship, mutual understanding and economic and cultural cooperation to further traditional ties between both countries./.
