More than 300 disabled people in northern Hung Yen province have found stable work thanks to a project funded by the Spanish Red Cross Society and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development.

The project, implemented in the province’s Kim Dong, Khoai Chau, My Hao districts and Hung Yen city, offered vocational training courses for disabled people.

Each beneficiary was supported with daily expenses and training fee in businesses and education establishments.

They can choose the jobs that are suitable for their ability such as tailoring, carpentry, electrical engineering or others.

Initial surveys show that after training courses, over 90 percents of participants had stable jobs at their training establishments.

Those who were able to run their own businesses were assisted with 6 million VND (nearly 300 USD).-VNA
