Pianist Pho An My will give a performance in the capital next Monday alongside hat van (a kind of incantation music or ritual music), which is often presented at spiritual ceremonies.
Entitled Bong (Reflection), the music has been composed by Dang Tue Nguyen, inspired by the verses of spiritual songs. During the performance, My will present five different pieces, with the forth one accompanied by vocalist Thanh Hoai.
In between the five main pieces, folk artists will perform excerpts from some spiritual songs.
A similar show combining pianist My and composer Nguyen was presented in May in capital city.
The Bong concert will start at 8pm next Monday at the Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien street , Hanoi . The performance then will be presented to audiences in HCM City at the Municipal Theatre, 7 Lam Son Square, on August 31 at 8pm./.
