Cristiano Ronaldo, the world-famous football star of the Spanish Royal Football Club Real Madrid, is expected to make a visit to Vietnam to play in a friendly match later this year.

According to the Lao Dong Newspaper, during a four-day visit to Portugal , Chairman of the T&T Corporation Do Quang Hien met with Ronaldo’s representative Jorge Mendes to arrange the visit.

The 80-million-pound Portugal football star has accepted the invitation, which Real Madrid signed off on, the paper said, adding, however, that no date has yet been set. T&T has proposed that the visit take place towards the end of this year.

The newspaper quoted Hien as saying that if Ronaldo comes to Vietnam , he will play for his club, T&T Hanoi, in the first half of the game and for the SHB Da Nang club in the second half.

Hien also discussed to invite two other Real Madrid footballers with Mendez--Van Nistelrooy and Guiti--to play in Vietnam./.
