A delegation from the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) led by Chief Auditor Vuong Dinh Hue is on a six-day visit to Laos from June 8 to boost ties with the Lao counterpart.

Hue held a meeting with the President of the Lao State Audit Organisation (LSAO), Bousi Lovansay, on June 8, during which the two sides reviewed their cooperation over the past time. They agreed to include the LSAO’s need for support into the Inter-governmental Agreement on Economic, Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation in 2011.

The two sides discussed the continued exchange of high-ranking delegations and sending Vietnamese experts to help train Lao auditors.

They also planned to hold joint audits to help the LSAO improve its capacity and build its strategic plans by 2020.

The SAV delegation will pay a working visit to Luang Prabang province on June 9./.
