Total collection of taxes for the State budget was estimated at 33.84 trillion VND (1.89 billion USD) in July, nearly 5 trillion VND higher than the previous month, the Ministry of Finance said.

The increase was attributed to a rise in domestic collection of more than 3 trillion VND and collection from import-export activities of about 1.8 trillion VND.

According to the Ministry, the increase in tax collection shows signs of economic recovery with more bustling production and business. Industrial production was estimated to rise 2 percent; import-export turnover, more than 1 percent.

In the first seven months of this year, the country’s total tax collection was estimated at more than 222 trillion VND./.
