During the two resistance wars against French and US forces, tens of thousands of revolutionaries were imprisoned and brutally tortured by foreign aggressors, but they remained loyal to the revolutionary cause and contributed importantly to the nation’s ultimate triumphs.

The guests raised their worries about the shortcomings of the market economy and its effects on society, and suggested continuing efforts to build a strong, pure Party and be proactive in international integration and reforms for people to live in a democratic, fair and civilized society.-VNA
