The State leader met outstandingVietnamese youths living and studying in 22 countries and territorieswho are returning home to attend the 2015 Vietnam Summer Camp.
He said delightedly that with the country’s internationalintegration, the Vietnamese community abroad is enjoying a stable lifewhile maintaining their bonds with the homeland.
Speaking of the summer camp’s organization for the last 12 years, hebelieved the camp’s activities, which will take participants to majorlandmarks all across the nation, will help young expatriates be proud oftheir homeland, become cultural ambassadors to introduce the country tointernational friends and join hands with those at home in thenation-building cause.
Participants expressedhope that State agencies would organise additional exchange activitiesto connect Vietnamese youths at home and abroad and provide Vietnameselanguage books for overseas Vietnamese students.
Held annually by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs,this year’s Summer Camp takes place from July 13-31 and gathers morethan 160 young Vietnamese expatriates from 22 countries and territoriesacross the world.-VNA
