The President expressed his delight at Cuba’s achievements inrecent years, especially the normalisation of diplomatic ties betweenCuba and the US.

Highlighting the results of talks between thetwo countries’ court leaders, he also expressed his hope that the twosides would strengthen their cooperation in various fields, including inthe legislature, judiciary and staff training.

For his part,the guest praised Vietnam for its socio-economic achievements andexperience in the judiciary field, stressing that these are valuable forCuba to learn from and contribute to developing the country in itsrenovation process.

He also informed the host that the twocourts have agreed to continue supporting each other, especially injudicial staff training, moving forward.-VNA

Hanoi, Vientiane promote comprehensive cooperation in new phase

The capitals of Vietnam and Laos signed memoranda of understanding on joint work in the fields of public communication and mass mobilisation, women and youth affairs, foreign relations, industry and trade, education and health care.
