Students from colleges across Ho Chi Minh City have learnt about wildlife protection at Hon Me Wildlife Rescue Station in Tho Son Commune, Hon Dat district in the southern province of Kien Giang .

Organised by Wildlife At Risk, a non-profit organisation based in Ho Chi Minh City, the two-day activity that commenced on June 26 gave voluntary students an opportunity to help protect wild animals and the environment, improving their awareness and knowledge of wildlife protection, while studying and practising necessary skills to rescue wild animals.

They also had a chance to learn about wildlife protection as a career, and communication in wildlife rescue.

Set in a beautiful landscape with model infrastructure and experienced staff, Hon Me Wildlife Rescue Station rehabilitates endangered animals including captured bears brought to the centre.-VNA
