Supporter of VN Agent Orange victims passes away

Vu Thi Xuan Phuong, founder and President of the Association Orange Fleurs d’espoir (OFE) in France, which works for Vietnamese AO/dioxin victims, passed away on Dec. 18 at the age of 70.
Vu Thi Xuan Phuong, founder and President of the Association Orange Fleurs d’espoir (OFE) in France, which works for Vietnamese AO/dioxin victims, passed away on Dec. 18 at the age of 70.

Phuong was honoured by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for supporting AO/dioxin victims in Vietnam through such activities as selling handicraft items to raise money for the victims and explaining the devastating effects of the toxic chemical to local people.

She had participated actively in Vietnamese people’s struggle to demand justice for AO/dioxin victims in the homeland at the International People’s Tribunal of Conscience in May, 2009 in Paris .

With what she had done, Phuong left a message of love and peace behind./.
