The mock trial focused on the offence of violating regulations on the protection of endangered, precious, and rare wildlife under Article 244 of the Penal Code.
The event aimed to help fishermen better understand the serious consequences of IUU fishing – not only the risk of prosecution but also the damage it causes to Vietnam’s reputation and seafood exports.
