As digital transformation becomes a key growth driver, the construction sector has come under increasing pressure to modernise its management model to keep pace with the rapid expansion of transport infrastructure, urbanisation and the real estate market.
Development efforts should properly recognise and leverage the role of science and technology in creating new economic models based on emerging resources.
General Secretary Lam emphasised the need to develop concrete applications and products serving socio-economic development and people’s needs, with public and business satisfaction as the ultimate measure. Digital transformation must be closely linked with administrative reforms, organisational streamlining and the effective operation of the two-tier local administration model.
The amendments to the law on technology transfer aim to institutionalise the Party’s orientations and implement recent NA resolutions, including the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on developing the private economic sector; and Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW on reforming law making and enforcement to meet the demands of national development in the new era.
The organisers hope the competition will help shape a generation of exceptional engineers who will make significant contributions to Vietnam’s scientific and technological progress in this era of transformation.
