On the evening of October 9, in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK, General Secretary To Lam, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and Chairman of the United Russia Party and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev attended an art performance celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK). WPK General Secretary and President of the State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong Un delivered a speech at the event.
The state visit takes place as the two countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic ties and their Friendship Year 2025, vividly reflecting the importance that the two Parties and States attach to the long-standing ties between the nations.
The upcoming visit by Party General Secretary To Lam to the DPRK, following the successful official visit to Vietnam by DPRK leader Kim Jong Un in 2019, once again demonstrates the loyal and close-knit friendship between the two Parties, States, and peoples, said Ambassador Le Ba Vinh.
