Bilateral trade between Thuringia and Vietnam stood at around 220 million EUR (over 253 million USD), with more than 40 Thuringian companies maintaining regular exports to Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City hopes to cooperate with Thuringia state of Germany in vocational training and in improving the quality of tertiary education, Secretary of the city’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said in his reception on April 11 for the state’s Minister-President Bodo Ramelow.

The Minister-President of the German Federal State of Thuringia, Bodo Ramelow, and Trade Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy to Germany Nguyen Huu Trang have discussed measures to intensify cooperation between the state and Vietnam.

Vietnam is looking for stronger cooperation with Germany across trade, environmental technology, ecology, processing technology and human resources training.
