Sokmom Nimul, Director General of Cambodia's national news agency AKP, emphasised that the VNA has always played a significant role in Vietnam’s press system. Since its establishment on September 15, 1945, the agency has served as the official voice of the Party and State, disseminating policies, statements, decisions, and viewpoints to all sectors of Vietnamese society.
Chairman of the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia, Sim Chy, praised the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) for its role as a bridge between overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia and their homeland during an interview with VNA correspondents in Phnom Penh on the occasion of the agency’s 80th anniversary (September 15, 1945–2025).
On the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on September 15, Sokmom Nimul, Director General of the Cambodian News Agency (AKP), gave an interview to VNA correspondents in Phnom Penh. The AKP Director General highlighted the role of the national news agency in Vietnam’s revolutionary press, and in promoting mutual understanding between the Vietnamese people and the world, particularly with Cambodia.
