The Vietnamese Party leader congratulated Kim Jong Un on his re-election and expressed his belief that under the leadership of General Secretary Kim, the WPK and the fraternal Korean people will continue to obtain great achievements in their national construction cause.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended a ceremony to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) (October 10, 1945 - 2025) held at Kim Il Sung Square in the capital of Pyongyang on October 10 evening (local time), within the framework of their state visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

During the visit, the top leaders of Vietnam and the DPRK held talks. In a sincere, friendly and open atmosphere, the two leaders exchanged views on the situation of each country, the Vietnam - DPRK relationship, and international and regional issues of mutual concern.

General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong Un presided over the ceremony.

The Communist Party of Vietnam is willing to work together with the DPRK to further promote the cooperative relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in a more substantive and effective manner, in line with the interests of the people of both nations, and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
