The Hanoi committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has sent an open letter to agencies, organisations, businesses and people in the city calling for donations to the city’s ‘For the poor’ fund, on the occasion of the “For the poor” month.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on December 20 received nearly 56 billion VND (2.44 million USD) presented to the city’s ‘For the Poor’ fund.
The Ho Chi Minh City chapter of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and Ho Chi Minh City Television raised a total of nearly 40 billion VND (1.73 million USD) in support of “For the Poor” Fund during a music show on October 18.
The Day for the Poor campaign raised 461 billion VND (20.9 million USD) in the first nine months of the year, participants at a conference in Hanoi heard on October 12.
