Japan highly values Vietnam’s important roles in the Mekong-Japan cooperation mechanism, according to Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong.

Thailand will push forward a cooperation framework between Mekong sub-region and Japan in a summit next week.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his spouse will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting and visit Japan from October 7-10.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc led a Vietnamese delegation to the 9th Mekong-Japan Summit and the 9th ASEAN-UN Summit that took place in Manila, the Philippines, on November 13.
