Over the past 24 years, Vietnam has actively participated in many activities to promote unity, cooperation and position of ASEAN in the international arena.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his spouse and entourage on October 7 left Hanoi for Tokyo to attend the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting and visit Japan from October 8-10.
Vietnam has participated proactively and made significant contributions to the Mekong-Japan cooperation mechanism, which was set up ten years ago by Japan and five Mekong nations of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Founded on August 8, 1967, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has developed strongly with the motto of “One Vision, One Identity, One Community”.
