Vietnam and Australia on August 23 agreed to raise bilateral trade from nearly 7.8 billion USD in 2018 to 10 billion USD next year.

Australia is a promising market of Vietnam as the country spends 600 billion USD each year on imports.

Six years after implementing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area, trade between Vietnam and Australia has increased 4.7 percent each year on average, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

The 53rd Meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC) began in Hanoi on July 17.
