The Ministry of Industry and Trade has said that the Vietnam Trade Office in Japan is continuing to coordinate with relevant domestic authorities as well as supermarket networks and distributors in Japan to promote Vietnamese lychees among Japanese consumers.
The first batch of fresh “thieu” lychee grown in Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Ha district, in the northern province of Hai Duong will depart for Japan on June 24.
A ceremony was held in the northern province of Hai Duong on May 25 to launch a litchi harvest programme for export and mark the shipment of the first batch of litchi to Singapore, the US and Australia this year.
