Lao Vice President Bounnhang Vorachith affirmed that Laos will spare no
efforts to lift the special ties with Vietnam to new heights and
implement effectively agreements reached by the two Parties and States.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said the current visit of Lao Vice
President Bounnhang Vorachith will give new momentum to the
time-honoured friendship, special solidarity and all-faceted cooperation
between the two nations.
Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan had talks with her visiting Lao
counterpart Bounnhang Vorachith in Hanoi on July 7, during which both
sides expressed delight at the growing ties between the two countries in
all fields.
The 40th anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and national
reunification was marked with a grand ceremony at Thong Nhat
(Reunification) Square in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30.
A delegation from the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for
Popularisation and Education (CPE) led by its head Dinh The Huynh began a
four-day working visit to Laos on Sept. 29.
