Head of Vietnam’s Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vu Chien Thang said he wishes that the Cambodian Ministry of Cults and Religion would create favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese following Buddhism and Caodaism in the country to join religious activities.
Ho Chi Minh City always respects and treasures the sound relations with Cambodia’s ministries, branches and localities, helping consolidate the traditional neighborly friendship between the two countries, said Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem.
Vietnamese and Cambodian localities along the shared border discussed religious affairs during a conference in Ho Chi Minh City on July 17, aiming to build a shared border of peace, stability and development.
Vietnam and Cambodia have reviewed the implementation of their bilateral religious cooperation agreement signed in February last year during the ongoing visit to Vietnam by a Cambodian minister.
