The 2012 Hanoi Run for Children took place on the bank of Thien Quang
Lake, Hanoi, on December 2. The annual event raises money to
treat children with cancer and heart disease.
The Canadian Embassy in Vietnam announced a grant of 180,000 CAD
(roughly 3.82 billion VND) for seven small projects on community
development and women in several localities of Vietnam .
Vietnamese adolescents who won a writing and painting contest titled
“Canada and red-haired Anne’s world” were honoured at an award ceremony
in Hanoi on July 1.
VTC16, a channel specialising in providing information relating to agriculture,
farmers and rural development, run by the Vietnam Multimedia Corporation (VTC),
will make its debut in April.
