Located 50km north of Hanoi,
Bac Giang province is considered to be well-suited to develop tourism,
especially due to its good transport connections, including road,
railway and waterway infrastructure.
Northern mountainous Bac Kan province’s Department of Construction
on August 1 kickstarted a Finland-funded water supply and environmental
improvement project in the locality.
Representatives from the Vietnamese government and a
relevant Japanese agency met with 10 polluters in the northern
mountainous provinces of Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan on Oct. 29 to discuss
a plan to manage the water environment of the Cau river basin.
Heavy rains will continued to fall in northern provinces over the next few days and cause the areas to be at high risk for floods and landslides, according to the Central Hydro meteorological Forecast Centre.
