The Japan International Co-operation
Agency (JICA) will help Cho Ray Hospital improve medical rehabilitation
services as part of a three-year co-operation project signed on March
1.
The Japanese government will provide
461 million JPY (5.1 million USD) for Vietnam to implement a project to
upgrade medical equipment for the Central Maternity Hospital.
The Cho Ray hospital in Ho Chi Minh
City has become the first medical institution in Vietnam to install a
wastewater treatment station using the AAO technology after a transfer
of technology on November 29.
Vietnam ’s Health Ministry has not yet confirmed a tenth death
from the A/H1N1 flu although the Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute’s
test has shown the victim was positive to the virus.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Health on
August 5 presented the “For the health of People” medal to Yumiko
Hayashi, an expert of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Project, for her contributions to Vietnam ’s health care service.
