The Danish Embassy in Vietnam on Nov. 28 hosted a ceremony to
celebrate the 40 th anniversary of Vietnam-Denmark diplomatic ties, in
the presence of Danish Crown Prince Frederik.
The Prime Minister has approved a Denmark-supported project on art
education in primary schools with a total funding of 730,000 USD for the
2011-2015 period.
The Danish government has provided 84.8 billion VND (over 4 million USD)
for the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak to implement an
agricultural and rural development programme in the 2008-2012 period.
The Danish government will continue to cooperate with Vietnam in
realising phase 2 of the project “Dialogues between cultural managers
and cultural policy makers”, according to the Ministry of Culture,
Sports and Tourism (MCST).
The Global Competition Fund (GCF) of Denmark has decided to provide
210 billion VND for Vietnamese private
businesses in the next three years to help them raise their competitive
edge.
Vietnam will make contributions to the
success of the United Nations Climate Change Conference held in
Copenhagen, Denmark, in December, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung
on Nov. 30.
The first phase of the Di An Water
Factory in Binh Duong province was put into operation
on Nov. 6, witnessed by Danish Crown Prince Frederik and Chairman
of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hoang Son.

Lysholt Hansen on July 16 inspected the results of the usage of his
country’s donations for state management and agriculture and rural
development assistance programmes in the northern, mountainous province
of Lao Cai.
After a history of blood, sweat and
tears to gain freedom and independence, what Vietnam currently wants is
stability so that it can quickly grow and further improve the people’s
living standards, the State President said.
